Information Technology Specialist

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 and 2 support for hardware, software, and networking issues
• Set up and configure workstations, laptops, and mobile devices for new employees
• Troubleshoot system, application, and network problems to resolve hardware or software faults
• Install, configure, and maintain printers, scanners, and other peripherals
• Respond to technical issues reported via in-person, phone, or ticketing systems
• Document and update internal knowledge bases with known solutions
• Maintain accurate inventory records for IT hardware and software assets
• Assist in managing user accounts, permissions, and access rights
• Participate in IT projects such as office relocations or software upgrades
• Ensure compliance with IT policies and procedures

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in an IT support, help desk, or administration role
• Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems
• Basic networking knowledge including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN configuration
• Proven experience troubleshooting hardware issues for desktops, laptops, and mobile devices
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• Familiarity with IT service management tools such as ServiceNow, Zendesk, or Jira
• Experience with Cloud-based services like Office 365, SharePoint, or Google Workspace
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Technology Associate)
