Information Systems Security Officer

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support in vulnerability assessment, risk assessment, network security, and remediation
• Design and implement solutions to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive information
• Identify, evaluate, and remediate cyber and insider threats
• Conduct security product evaluations and recommend technology upgrades
• Perform testing and audit log reviews to evaluate security effectiveness
• Manage accreditation of systems by certifying implementation of FISMA and NIST guidelines

Requirements

• B.S. in Information Technology or a closely related field
• 7+ years of progressive technical experience in Information Assurance C&A
• Experience as an ISSO supporting federal government information systems
• Knowledge of ISO, NIST, FISMA, FIPS, and HSPD frameworks
• Experience with ITS Publication 1075 for safeguarding Federal Tax Information (TFI)
• Active CISSP certification
• Active Top Secret clearance
• Ability to work onsite in Washington, DC
