Information Systems Security Officer

Responsibilities

• Provide support for proposing, coordinating, implementing, and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies
• Maintain operational security posture for information systems or programs
• Perform vulnerability and risk assessment analysis to support certification and accreditation
• Provide configuration management for information system security software, hardware, and firmware
• Prepare and review documentation including System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment Reports, and C&A packages
• Support security authorization activities in compliance with NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF)
• Administer user identification and authentication mechanisms
• Maintain records on workstations, servers, routers, firewalls, and network switches

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance (most recent poly within the last 7 years)
• IAT level I baseline certification as defined by DoD 8570.01-M
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and five years of ISSO experience, or nine years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
