Information Systems Security Officer

Responsibilities

• Support cybersecurity compliance, risk management, and continuous monitoring for enterprise network systems
• Review and validate security configurations for Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and related network infrastructure
• Support DISA STIG validation, SCAP benchmarks, security baselines, and device hardening requirements
• Conduct, review, and validate vulnerability scans using ACAS, Tenable Nessus, and STIG Viewer
• Develop and maintain RMF documentation including SSPs, POA&Ms, and Continuous Monitoring artifacts
• Support ATO package development, renewal, and authorization sustainment activities
• Review firewall rules, access control lists, ports, protocols, and boundary protection controls
• Monitor compliance through eMASS and other approved DoD systems
• Support incident response activities by reviewing network alerts, logs, and firewall events

Requirements

• TS/SCI Clearance
• BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (experience may be substituted)
• DoD 8140 (8570) IAT Level II Certification
• CCNA certification
• Minimum 4 years of experience in cybersecurity, information assurance, or network security
• Experience supporting cybersecurity activities within the DoD or Intelligence Community
• Hands-on experience with ACAS, Tenable Nessus, STIG Viewer, or SCAP
• Working knowledge of Cisco platforms (ASA, Firepower, ISE, Catalyst, Nexus, ISR, or ASR)
• Understanding of NIST SP 800-37, NIST SP 800-53, and CNSSI 1253

Preferred Qualifications

• CCNP, CCNP Security, or Cisco CyberOps certification
• CISSP, CISM, CGRC, CASP+, or CySA+ certification
• Experience with Splunk, Elastic, SolarWinds, or Wireshark
• Familiarity with network automation tools like Ansible, Python, or Terraform
• Knowledge of Zero Trust principles and modern DoD cybersecurity architecture
