Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM)

Responsibilities

• Oversee the development, implementation, and certification of classified information systems
• Ensure compliance with government security policies, including NISPOM, NIST SP 800-53, DAAPM, and JSIG
• Develop and maintain system security programs, policies, and continuous monitoring strategies
• Manage system Control Change Board (CCB) meetings and identify/mitigate system vulnerabilities
• Develop and update Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&M) to address system weaknesses
• Certify to government Authorizing Officials (AOs) that security plans meet contractual regulations
• Implement effective information system security education, training, and awareness programs
• Maintain and manage NISP Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) access and authorizations

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 6 years of ISSM experience, OR a Graduate Degree with 4 years of ISSM experience, OR 10 years of related ISSM experience in lieu of a degree
• DOD 8570.1 Certified (Level II or higher)
• Active Security+ or CISSP certification (or other applicable 8570.1 certifications)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with classified processing environments of varying complexity
• Deep knowledge of government compliance, regulations, and standards (RMF, JSIG, NIST 800-53)
• Experience with security requirements, clearances, and procedures
• Proficiency with applicable network, systems, hardware, and software programs
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills
