Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE)

Responsibilities

• Ensure information systems are designed, developed, and implemented with required security features to meet or exceed all DoD/NIST RMF+ requirements
• Employ best practices for implementing security controls, including secure design, secure architecture, and secure coding techniques
• Coordinate security-related activities with the Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) and the Information System Security Manager (ISSM)
• Manage the day-to-day security operations of SCS systems and provide detailed technical expertise
• Conduct information system security engineering activities to refine security requirements and ensure effective integration through purposeful architecting and configuration

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or 10 years of comparable work experience
• Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with a Counter Intelligence (CI) polygraph
• DoD 8570 certification in Information Assurance Technology (IAT) level II
• Subject matter expert (SME) level familiarity with Risk Management Framework (RMF+)
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and prioritization skills
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• 10 or more years of dedicated ISSE experience
• Knowledge and experience with cloud computing and C2S
