Information Systems Architect

Responsibilities

• Translate complex Technical Security Systems requirements into secure, high-performance hardware and software solutions
• Lead end-to-end system design, integration, and testing for Intrusion Detection and Access Control Systems
• Conduct feasibility studies, requirements gathering, and technology evaluations to modernize security infrastructure
• Determine integrated hardware and software architecture solutions that meet performance, scalability, and security needs
• Coordinate the design and integration of subsystems including networking, virtual machines, and traditional servers across all sites
• Partner with cross-functional teams to develop detailed specifications and assess technical alternatives

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance (requires U.S. citizenship)
• Experience with system design and integration

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, or Enterprise Architecture
• Experience with Enterprise/Solution Architecture Frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, or DoDAF
• Cloud certifications (AWS Solutions Architect or Microsoft Azure Architect)
• Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or SABSA
• Knowledge of Agile/DevOps methodologies and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with networking and VM architecture (VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, or KVM)
