Information System Security Officer (ISSO)

Responsibilities

• Ensure system compliance, auditing, and security plan development
• Collaborate with the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) to adhere to NISPOM, DAAPM, and JSIG policies
• Deliver information systems security education and awareness
• Investigate information system security violations and prepare reports for corrective and preventative actions
• Perform security sustainment activities including hardware/software change management, account management, and media protection
• Partner with facility security teams, program personnel, and government representatives

Requirements

• University Degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience (or an Advanced Degree in a related field)
• Active and existing U.S. government Secret security clearance required on day 1
• U.S. citizenship is required
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Security+ or equivalent IAM Level I certification within 6 months of hire
• Experience in cybersecurity, systems security, or compliance-based auditing (RMF, DAAPM, JSIG, or NISPOM)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in DoD classified operating or laboratory environments
• Familiarity with cybersecurity Risk Management Framework (RMF) and NIST publications
• Experience with audit reviews such as physical security, network logs, and password administration
• Familiarity with cyber incident response execution and management
• Completion of National Industrial Security Program cybersecurity training courses
