Information Security Engineer

Fluidstack is focused on delivering massive-scale compute infrastructure for AI. We acquire power, design and build data centers, and operate them with teams spanning hardware and software to accelerate the frontier of AI.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end security for the bare metal fleet, from supply chain and provisioning to hardening and decommissioning
• Design and maintain hardened golden OS images with automated vulnerability scanning and patch pipelines
• Define and enforce the BMC security model, including access control and firmware integrity
• Partner with network engineering on micro-segmentation, IDS/IPS, and zero-trust architecture
• Implement data-at-rest encryption, key management, and secure storage access at scale
• Lead threat modeling for new hardware platforms and respond to physical fleet incidents

Requirements

• Experience in information security or infrastructure engineering with a focus on bare metal, IaaS, or high-scale cloud
• Deep Linux hardening expertise (SELinux, AppArmor, kernel-level security)
• Strong network security command (TCP/IP, VPNs, firewall rulesets, zero-trust)
• Practical implementation of encryption (LUKS, hardware-level) and understanding of HSMs and TPM/TXT
• Proficiency in automation using Python, Go, or Rust
• Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with BMC platforms (OpenBMC, iDRAC, iLO)
• Knowledge of hardware root of trust and secure boot
• Familiarity with compliance standards such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, or FedRAMP
• Certifications like CISSP, OSCP, or CEH
