Information Security Analyst

Responsibilities

• Support incident response investigations and handling security incidents
• Assist with vulnerability management, scanning, and remediation tracking
• Monitor endpoint security operations via EDR/MDR platforms
• Participate in security architecture reviews for new systems and applications
• Contribute to cloud security initiatives and SaaS security assessments
• Perform security administration tasks including access reviews and tool management
• Support SOC 2 and HITRUST audit and compliance activities
• Develop and maintain security policies and procedures
• Assist with security awareness training and employee guidance
• Contribute to attack surface management and third-party risk assessments

Requirements

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field
• 0–2 years of experience in information security or a related IT role
• Foundational understanding of security concepts, threats, and vulnerabilities
• Awareness of security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or HITRUST
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Security certification in progress or completed (Security+, CySA+)
• Familiarity with HIPAA compliance requirements
