About the role
Responsibilities
- Strengthen the Agency’s cybersecurity posture across both Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT/ICS) environments
- Monitor and respond to cyber threats, security alerts, and potential incidents
- Administer security tools and processes, including firewalls, SIEM, VPNs, and endpoint protection
- Support governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) initiatives and industry framework alignment
- Conduct vulnerability management and network analysis to protect critical infrastructure
- Advance cybersecurity awareness and provide guidance to technical and non-technical staff
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, information technology, or a closely related field
- At least five years of progressively responsible professional experience in information security
- Proven experience managing enterprise platforms including Microsoft 365, Azure, and Active Directory
- Hands-on experience with firewalls, SIEM, VPNs, and network monitoring systems
- Possession of at least one professional certification: CISSP, CEH, CISM, CISA, Security+, or ISA 62443
- Valid California driver's license and ability to maintain insurability
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting security for Operational Technology (OT) or Industrial Control System (ICS) environments
- Experience participating in red team (attack) or blue team (defense) simulation scenarios
- Knowledge of SCADA environments and critical infrastructure protection
