Information Governance Retention & Disposition Analyst

Responsibilities

• Execute policies and processes for the retention and disposition of firm and client information.
• Use information tracking and management tools to facilitate the collection, review, and archiving of physical and electronic data.
• Coordinate with relevant personnel to ensure correct identification and indexing of physical collections.
• Perform preliminary reviews, database searches, and audits related to the disposition of electronic information.
• Utilize secure transfer technologies, encryption controls, and metadata structures to manage information transfers.
• Serve as a resource and trainer for questions regarding retention and disposition processes.
• Assist with information clean-up projects and manage data across various platforms including iManage and eDiscovery tools.
• Troubleshoot data retention issues and report on solutions to management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• Experience working in a professional environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word).
• Strong organizational and critical thinking skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle and maintain confidential information securely.
• Ability to lift thirty pounds.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a dispersed team under tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working within a law firm.
• Experience providing exemplary customer service in a fast-paced environment.
