Information Governance Advisor

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the University’s Information Governance Framework, policies, and standards
• Provide practical, solutions-focused advice to staff regarding privacy, responsible information sharing, and records management
• Support Privacy, Responsible Information Sharing, and Freedom of Information (FOI) functions
• Contribute to disclosure requests, eDiscovery support, training, and awareness activities
• Assist in managing the information lifecycle to ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory obligations

Requirements

• Degree in information management or a related discipline
• Substantial experience in information governance, privacy, records, or knowledge management
• Working knowledge of information governance legislation and policy, including privacy and access frameworks
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex requirements
• Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with diverse stakeholders
• Strong understanding and knowledge of Microsoft 365
