Infection Preventionist RN

Responsibilities

• Create a learning environment based on evidence-based practice using various teaching strategies
• Teach clinical skills to RNs, CNAs, LPNs, and ancillary staff
• Build professional development plans to assist in advancing professional practice
• Support clinical leaders in developing action plans and performance improvement plans
• Provide constructive and thoughtful feedback to learners
• Support the development and implementation of clinical programs, initiatives, standards, and policies
• Design, assess, and evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and outcomes
• Collaborate with community and clinical partners to support educational goals
• Act as a change agent and leader advocating for nursing and nursing education
• Serve as community Infection Preventionist

Requirements

• Registered Nurse licensed in the State of Pennsylvania
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience in long-term care or acute care within the past 5 years
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical teaching experience within the past 5 years
• Certification in Infection Prevention & Control
• BSN required (MSN preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

• Gerontology experience preferred
• ANCC Certification in Gerontological Nursing and/or Nursing Education
• Completion of coursework in adult education
