Infant Guide

Responsibilities

• Provide primary caregiving to 1-3 infants while collaborating with a team of guides
• Foster a supportive educational atmosphere using Montessori and RIE pedagogy
• Observe and record developmental milestones and progress regularly
• Maintain a prepared environment, ensuring the classroom is ready for daily use
• Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and school leadership
• Mentor and coach other teachers to ensure high standards of care and pedagogy
• Contribute to a collaborative teaching culture built on mutual respect

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• 5+ years of experience working in an infant environment
• Proficiency in primary caregiving techniques
• Strong observation and documentation skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to lift, move, or hold children weighing up to 60 pounds
• Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and navigate uneven outdoor terrain

Preferred Qualifications

• MACTE accredited Montessori certification or RIE training
• Master's degree in a related field
• Training in RIE foundations or Positive Discipline at the infant/toddler level
• Fluency in languages other than English
