Industrial Site Manager

Responsibilities

• Supervise, direct, and control site operations to meet safety, quality, and production requirements
• Purchase ferrous and non-ferrous materials
• Manage, coach, and motivate the site team and conduct performance evaluations
• Monitor staff results, analyze performance gaps, and identify business opportunities
• Prepare management reports and work towards achieving budgetary financial results
• Control inventory and quality standards
• Promote a customer-oriented team and ensure local marketing needs are met
• Implement improvements to operational processes, procedures, and policies
• Enforce health and safety regulations and ensure physical security of the premises

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar management position, ideally in metal or industrial manufacturing
• Strong execution and decision-making skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and motivational abilities
• Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
• Strong communication, active listening, and problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to assist with loading trucks, equipment, and rail cars
• Physical ability to walk, stand, and move about an industrial site for extended periods
• Capability to lift and carry materials up to 35 lbs occasionally
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces when necessary
