Industrial Safety Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop EHS standards in accordance with Micron policy and legal requirements
• Ensure all onsite operations comply with legal and company safety regulations
• Lead and participate in ISO45001 and TOSHMS operations
• Conduct accident and incident investigations to identify controls and prevent reoccurrence
• Develop, suggest, and conduct health and safety training programs
• Manage construction safety, dangerous workplace processes, and risk assessments
• Oversee management of change, contractor management, and high-risk work
• Manage semiconductor equipment safety and develop lockout-tagout systems
• Handle government document applications and cooperate with broader EHS activities

Requirements

• College or university degree in Industrial Safety, Health Engineering, or a related field
• 1-3 years of professional experience in safety or health engineering
• Valid Occupational Safety/Health Specialist or Occupational Safety and Health Technician license
• Proficiency in ISO45001 and TOSHMS operations
• Strong English communication skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing)
• Ability to execute industrial safety business operations independently

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in safety management within technology industry operating plants
• Knowledge of chemical management and the operation of major prevention plans
• Experience in construction safety and health management for new construction projects
