Industrial Project Engineer

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and integrate TRUMPF’s Oseon system and TruTops Boost programming systems.
• Implement new systems and travel to customer sites to work alongside Automation Service and Applications teams.
• Assess customer process value chains and adapt TRUMPF software solutions to meet specific needs.
• Configure customer machinery to establish connectivity and facilitate data exchange.
• Service existing systems through periodic upgrades and machinery re-configuration.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for existing customers via phone, email, and onsite visits.
• Support local TRUMPF Smart Factories in the Chicago, IL and Farmington, CT areas.
• Travel up to 50% within the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in Industrial Engineering, Software Systems, or Systems Integration.
• Understanding of MS SQL Server and Windows Server operating systems.
• Knowledge of system networking and familiarity with client-server software.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CAD/CAM programming software for machine tools.
• Knowledge of sheet metal manufacturing value streams and CNC machine technology.
• Understanding of ERP/MRP systems and their integration with industrial software solutions.
