Industrial Plant Mechanic/Welder

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs to structural and non-structural equipment around the MR Plant
• Execute welding repairs and other non-mechanical duties
• Follow lockout/tagout procedures to ensure a safe work area
• Inspect equipment for damage or leaks and report findings
• Maintain maintenance supply inventories and organize tool storage
• Assist plant personnel with production needs when short-staffed
• Report dust emissions, fluid spills, or equipment leaks
• Prioritize assistance for mill service vehicles as needed
• Coordinate with suppliers for part ordering and quotes

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven welding experience with relevant tickets
• Industrial Mechanic experience
• Ability to maintain welding or trade certificates in good standing
