Industrial Nurse

Responsibilities

• Provide immediate medical attention for serious injuries and medical care for minor injuries.
• Deliver preventive treatments such as paraffin wax treatments and wrist wrapping.
• Perform post-employment physicals and non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
• Follow up with light-duty personnel to ensure compliance with doctor's orders.
• Initiate accident reports and maintain detailed medical documentation in Nurse's notes.
• Assist the Safety Department with annual hearing testing and follow-up.
• Monitor AED status, perform periodic tests, and report results to the Nursing Supervisor.
• Manage inventory and order medical supplies as assigned.
• Maintain a clean and organized Nurse's Station.
• Participate in an on-call rotation, remaining within one hour of the facility when scheduled.

Requirements

• Licensed LPN, EMT, or other designation as deemed sufficient by the Medical Director.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license.
• Proficiency in spreadsheet and word processing software.
• Knowledge of Human Resource systems.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to pass a background investigation.
