About the role
Responsibilities
- Implement industrial networks, primarily for manufacturing facilities
- Deliver on-site full project lifecycle support, including design, validation, commissioning, and troubleshooting
- Audit, specify, design, and test industrial networks using Cisco/Stratix hardware
- Create accurate network diagrams, documentation, and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Provide technical direction to installers and on-site staff regarding physical network installation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and meet customer expectations
Requirements
- 3-7 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment or a direct networking position
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Computer, or Network Engineering (or equivalent technical experience)
- Solid understanding of network infrastructure, hardware components, and communication protocols
- Ability to configure Rockwell/Cisco switches
- Proficiency in Cisco CLI
- Network certifications such as CCNA/NP or IMINS
- Willingness to travel to support installation, start-up activities, and client meetings
Preferred Qualifications
- Security experience or certifications (ISA, GICSP, CISSP)
- Experience with network tools like GNS3, SolarWinds, or Network Manager
- Knowledge of control systems including PLCs and SCADA software
- Experience in industrial controls network design
- Proficiency with virtualization hardware and software (Dell, HP, VMware, Hyper-V)
- Experience with AutoCAD or Visio
