Industrial Millwright Technician

Responsibilities

• Maintain, install, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery and mechanical systems
• Review and interpret engineering specifications, schematics, and blueprints
• Use manual lathe and mill to fabricate, broach, weld, grind, and file machinery parts
• Install, fit, align, and secure mechanical assemblies and components
• Test equipment for efficiency and durability and make necessary adjustments
• Construct and install equipment such as guards, shafting, conveyors, and tram rails
• Service hydraulic systems and perform routine machine maintenance
• Use precision measurement instruments including micrometers, height gages, and indicators

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of millwright experience in manufacturing
• Expertise in mechanical fitting, precision alignment, hydraulics, and pneumatics
• Proficiency in basic welding and fabrication
• Ability to produce precision parts from mechanical drawings
• Competence with CMMS and basic computer skills
• High School Diploma, apprenticeship, and/or vocational school certificate

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical certificate or apprenticeship in Millwright/Industrial Maintenance
• Experience with packaging, presses, extrusion, or continuous processing equipment
• Familiarity with predictive maintenance tools and reliability practices
• Basic electrical familiarity with motors, sensors, and VFDs
• Forklift or aerial lift certification
