Industrial Mechanic/Millwright

Responsibilities

• Install new machinery and assist with machine commissioning, validation, and production ramp-up
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on production equipment
• Respond to breakdowns with urgency to minimize downtime
• Identify failure modes and implement corrective actions through root cause analysis
• Perform machining, fitting, welding, and assembly to build or modify jigs and fixtures
• Align shafts, bearings, gearboxes, and precision components
• Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and maintain accurate repair logs

Requirements

• Licensed Industrial Mechanic / Millwright (433A in Ontario) or equivalent experience
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills in a production environment
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, drives, and power transmission
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and schematics
• Experience with CNC machinery and/or automated production systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in high-volume or continuous manufacturing environments
• Experience with preventative maintenance systems (CMMS)
• Licensed Industrial Electrician (442A)
