About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, adjustments, alignments, and servicing of equipment including conveyors, grinders, shredders, vibrating tables, hydraulic systems, and presses
- Diagnose mechanical issues, breakdowns, and failures
- Inspect for wear and repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems
- Test repaired equipment to verify performance and ensure compliance
- Assist in troubleshooting to improve equipment efficiency and functionality
- Carry out installation and upgrades of new machines or equipment
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Requirements
- Strong experience in maintenance, repair, and adjustment of mechanical equipment (conveyors, grinders, shredders, hydraulic systems, etc.)
- Ability to diagnose mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs
- Skilled in testing repaired equipment for performance and compliance
- Ability to collaborate on problem-solving
- Knowledge of safety protocols and health & safety (SST) regulations
