Industrial Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
• Install, align, dismantle and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment
• Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, jacks and tractors
• Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect irregularities and malfunctions
• Install, troubleshoot and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Perform routine maintenance including cleaning and lubricating equipment
• Assemble machinery and equipment using hand, power, and welding tools

Requirements

• Experience working safely in a heavy industrial environment
• Proficiency in welding and basic equipment repair
• Experience with preventative maintenance tasks, checklists, and work orders
• Ability to work indoors, outdoors, and in varying weather conditions
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks based on production urgency
