Industrial Materials Technician I

Responsibilities

• Perform technical inspection of materials using metrology, chemical analysis, hardness, thickness, and roughness techniques
• Conduct visual inspections of materials applied in industrial areas
• Report technical non-conformity deviations and monitor the refurbishment process of critical components
• Inspect incoming items of high financial relevance or criticality for Industrial Maintenance
• Support technical problem-solving for internal and external customers regarding materials
• Specify materials and parts, generating sketches or drawings in SolidWorks or AutoCAD
• Manage material registration and identification processes
• Participate in material planning meetings
• Initiate warranty claim processes when discrepancies are detected between requested and received materials

Requirements

• Complete technical course in Industrial Mechanical Maintenance, Metallurgy, or Materials
• Active registration with CRT and TRT professional councils
• Experience in materials management
• Experience in reading and interpreting technical drawings (CAD)
• Experience with PPCM (Maintenance Planning, Programming, and Control) techniques
• Experience identifying industrial equipment, components, parts, and materials
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
