About the role
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and modify electrical systems and equipment
- Diagnose and resolve issues in electrical systems using load computations and testing
- Troubleshoot and repair medium voltage systems (480 VAC / 750 VDC)
- Maintain and test transformers, motor control centers (MCCs), and electrical area classifications
- Perform preventive maintenance and mechanical inspections
- Read and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals
- Provide on-the-job guidance to new maintenance personnel
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years related work experience in a maintenance mechanic function
- Knowledge of NFPA 70E, NEC, and OSHA standards
- Proficiency with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and motor controls
- Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems
