Industrial Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Inspect electrical equipment, wiring, fixtures, and components to ensure functionality and code compliance
• Diagnose malfunctions in systems or components and develop effective repair plans
• Repair electrical systems, wiring, circuit breakers, and other critical equipment
• Utilize voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and ohmmeters to test systems for safety and compatibility
• Review blueprints to understand wiring placement and equipment mechanics
• Use PLC software and programs to diagnose conveyor and equipment outages
• Advise on the lifespan of electrical components and recommend necessary replacements
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance, repairs, and supplies used
• Execute routine maintenance schedules to prevent complex issues and reduce operational costs

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3-5 years of experience in electrical maintenance or a related field
• Proficiency with PLC software and programs
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Experience using electrical testing equipment
• Strong verbal and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant electrician certifications
• Experience with PLCs and other control equipment
• Proven problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and NFPA 70
