Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and replace mechanical components including motors, gearboxes, drive chains, and conveyor systems
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including cylinders, sensors, and pumps
• Perform advanced stick welding and fabrication to repair heavy industrial equipment
• Provide emergency unscheduled repairs to minimize production downtime
• Document and perform all required preventative maintenance tasks
• Diagnose and replace faulty electrical components such as relays, switches, and motors
• Reference technical documentation, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals to complete work accurately
• Align machines and equipment using precision tools, hoists, and jacks

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in heavy industrial maintenance
• Advanced stick welding and fabrication skills
• Proficiency with power tools, measuring devices, and precision alignment tools
• Experience with rigging, hoisting, and equipment installation
• Basic industrial electrical experience
• Experience working with CMMS software
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various physical positions, including at heights

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic understanding of motor controls, PLCs (programmable logic controllers), and VFDs (variable frequency drives)
• Experience with bearing heaters, interference fits, or removing seized bearings/shafts
