Industrial Engineering Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform time studies and calculate Standard Allowed Minutes (SAMs) to ensure production efficiency
• Update labor breakdowns and enter new SAMs into Leadtec systems
• Recommend methods to improve worker efficiency and reduce waste of materials and utilities
• Advise Production Managers on necessary machinery or attachments to optimize operations
• Review production efficiencies with Supervisors and Managers to identify areas for improvement
• Prepare labor breakdowns and establish labor costs for new styles
• Calculate staffing requirements per style and design floor layout plans for new production lines

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Industrial Engineering
• Proficiency in MS Office 365, including Word and Excel
• Strong problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills
• Excellent communication abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience working as a technician or in a similar manufacturing role
• Previous experience in apparel manufacturing
