Industrial Engineer

Responsibilities

• Create and report on team metrics for production engineering, operations, logistics, and hardware design
• Lead and execute cost reduction projects and identify new opportunities for savings
• Support simulator production through process analysis, including cycle time and rework reduction
• Perform work measurement and line balancing for hardware build, integration, and test activities
• Develop labor standards and capacity models to support staffing plans and surge scenarios
• Partner with production engineering to ensure build plans and work instructions are efficient and manufacturable
• Lead continuous improvement and Lean efforts such as 5S, layout optimization, and material flow
• Use data visualization tools and dashboards to monitor performance and drive decision-making

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry
• 5+ years of experience in an industrial engineering role
• 3+ years of experience in production or facility layout
• 3+ years of experience working directly on cost reduction initiatives
• 3+ years of experience developing business reports or metrics to influence decision making
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree specifically in Industrial Engineering
• 10+ years of experience performing industrial engineering work
• 8+ years of experience creating and coordinating production floor layouts
• 8+ years of experience leading cost reduction projects
• Experience with the selection and acquisition of tools
