About the role
Responsibilities
- Apply industrial engineering concepts and techniques to optimize products, processes, and services.
- Develop plant and equipment layouts, capacity plans, and workflows to meet program requirements.
- Design, maintain, and optimize production systems by integrating design, supply base, facilities, and personnel.
- Conduct workflow design and analysis, including time and motion studies.
- Develop models, databases, and spreadsheets to analyze data and provide metrics to leadership.
- Research and implement processes to enhance schedule performance, lower costs, and improve quality.
- Create product assembly instructions and standardize assembly practices.
- Prepare operations plans, including budgeting, forecasting, and capacity/constraint analysis.
- Ensure compliance with industry safety, design standards, and ergonomic guidelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry.
- 5+ years of experience working in a manufacturing setting.
- 5+ years of experience applying production engineering principles to analyze and implement manufacturing processes.
- Experience with capacity planning, manpower forecasting, and line balancing.
- Experience with time and motion studies, process modeling, and lean manufacturing.
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years of related work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in project management and leading cross-functional teams.
- 5+ years of experience in the field of Lean Manufacturing.
- 5+ years of experience partnering with key functions in an integrator or lead role.
