Industrial Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize production processes for large-scale satellite production systems using manufacturing principles and Lean methodologies
• Maintain and develop plant layouts, equipment layouts, capacity plans, and work flows
• Develop models, databases, and spreadsheets to analyze data and provide metrics for leadership consultation
• Assist with the research and implementation of processes to enhance schedule performance, lower costs, and improve quality
• Provide product assembly instructions and standardize assembly practices
• Prepare operations plans, including work statement analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and capacity/constraint analysis
• Support execution planning through project management, scheduling, and shop load practices

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry
• 2-5 years of experience in Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering
• Proven experience in problem-solving and leading improvement projects
• Experience applying and implementing Lean manufacturing principles in a production system
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• U.S. Citizenship is required and ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Six Sigma Black Belt certification
• Lean Manufacturing Certification
• Certified Industrial Engineer (CIE) or Project Management Professional (PMP)
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration skills
