Industrial Engineer I

Responsibilities

• Apply advanced problem-solving and Lean Manufacturing principles to optimize factory throughput, efficiency, and value
• Analyze manufacturing system performance to identify opportunities for improvement and calculate resource utilization
• Create process flows, value stream maps, and CAD drawings to graphically represent manufacturing processes and material movement
• Partner with project managers to execute projects that modify factory footprints, equipment layouts, or new capabilities
• Contribute to strategic roadmaps focused on factory expansion, technology insertion, and infrastructure improvements
• Support business case development, competitive bids, and Make/Buy/Where analyses

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics)
• Experience with CAD software
• Experience with project management
• U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Industrial, Systems, or Mechanical Engineering
• Experience with capacity/constraint analysis and discrete event simulation modeling
• Knowledge of factory layout and work cell design/optimization
• Proficiency in Six Sigma and Lean manufacturing principles
• Strong analytical, creative thinking, and interpersonal communication skills
