Industrial Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support the design of distribution facilities, including new facilities, retrofits, and material handling equipment changes
• Utilize DMAIC process to improve efficiencies, capacity, and throughput
• Develop preferred methods and standard operating procedures for the warehouse
• Introduce and adapt improvement methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma
• Manage processes, projects, and systems to achieve unit goals

Requirements

• BS in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar field
• 2 years of engineering and project management experience in industrial distribution, manufacturing, or processing
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Lean Six Sigma certification and Kaizen experience
• Experience with Warehouse Control Systems (WCS) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Extensive experience with Excel and Word

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to perform cost/benefit analysis and cost-justify capital expenditure
• Experience in multi-site industrial environments
