About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support for the development, production, and quality of new and current manufactured vehicles.
- Identify, lead, and implement continuous improvement projects to optimize manufacturing processes.
- Design efficient workstation layouts and material flow requirements for current production and new model launches.
- Evaluate dock utilization, storage space, and inventory requirements for JIT systems.
- Recommend material handling equipment including forklifts, tuggers, AGVs, and automated solutions.
- Perform root cause analysis and develop countermeasures for quality, manufacturing, and field concerns.
- Manage supplier quality by reviewing manufacturing processes and addressing recurring issues.
- Support new model launches and engineering trials by evaluating design changes and improving tooling and materials.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers within the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or Engineering Technology.
- 2-3 years of professional related experience at a professional level.
- Strong knowledge of process equipment, material flow, and workstation design.
- Working knowledge of quality control assessments, such as statistical process control (SPC).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to perform work onsite in Canton, MS.
- Ability to travel occasionally (day or overnight), including potential international travel.
