About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support for the development, production, and quality of new and current manufactured vehicles.
- Create and maintain internal documentation for labor and processes related to internal logistics.
- Lead and implement continuous improvement projects to optimize manufacturing and material flow.
- Design efficient workstation layouts for manufacturing, sequencing, and kitting areas.
- Evaluate dock utilization, storage requirements, and inventory needs for JIT systems.
- Recommend material handling equipment including forklifts, tuggers, AGVs, and automated solutions.
- Manage supplier quality by reviewing manufacturing processes and implementing permanent countermeasures.
- Analyze quality and warranty data to identify root causes and drive corrective actions.
- Support new model launches and engineering trials by evaluating design changes and improving tooling.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or Engineering Technology.
- 2-3 years of professional related experience at a professional level.
- Working knowledge of quality control assessments, such as statistical process control.
- Strong problem-solving and verbal/written communication skills.
- Ability to perform work onsite in Canton, MS.
- Ability to travel occasionally, including potential international travel.
