Industrial Electrician

Responsibilities

• Assemble electrical switchgear and electromechanical equipment according to engineering drawings and production timescales
• Interpret electrical schematics, manuals, drawings, and specifications for assembly and maintenance
• Perform testing of panels, including current injection testing
• Carry out mechanical and electrical maintenance, site modifications, and inspections
• Conduct thermal imaging inspections and complete associated reports
• Identify and report substandard, defective, or malfunctioning components
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment in compliance with Health & Safety requirements
• Support production targets and mentor team members where required

Requirements

• City & Guilds Electrical Qualification and completed Engineering Apprenticeship with AM2 (or equivalent)
• Time-served Electrician or Technician
• Proven experience in electrical switchgear manufacture or a similar industrial environment
• Experience in panel wiring, including PLCs, MCCs, and control panels

Preferred Qualifications

• Current 18th Edition Certification
• Mechanical knowledge
• Field service or on-site installation experience
• Familiarity with Risk Assessments and Method Statements
