Industrial Electrician V

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency repairs on industrial electrical equipment with voltages up to 15kv
• Execute power-related projects involving substations, breakers, transformers, and distribution panels
• Read and interpret electrical one-lines and schematics to resolve technical issues
• Conduct safety and hazard assessments, including following Lockout/Tagout procedures and NFPA 70E standards
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks as directed by the Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
• Document findings and communicate work completion to clients and management
• Direct the work of unskilled or semi-skilled helpers on various projects
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours emergency response

Requirements

• Electrician Certificate from an apprenticeship program, an Associate Technical degree, or equivalent military experience as an electrical technician
• Minimum of 5 years of industrial electrical experience
• Ability to read and troubleshoot electrical one-lines and schematics
• Proficiency with electrical test equipment including multimeters, meggers, and verifiers
• Experience working with distribution panels and switchboards
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders and kneeling
