Industrial Electrician V

Responsibilities

• Manage all power-related work, scheduling, and monthly maintenance for office buildings and facilities.
• Perform preventive maintenance on industrial electrical control and operating systems using CMMS (SAP).
• Execute scheduled outages and coordinate large-scale maintenance efforts for substations, breakers, and transformers.
• Read and troubleshoot electrical schematics and one-line diagrams.
• Conduct safety and hazard assessments, including lockout/tagout procedures and arc flash drawing updates.
• Respond to emergency calls and perform independent equipment evaluations to prevent failures.
• Direct the work of unskilled or semi-skilled helpers to ensure proper safety practices.
• Document findings and communicate work completion and issues to clients and management.

Requirements

• 7+ years of electrical experience in an industrial environment.
• Proven experience working safely with voltages up to 480v.
• Ability to read and troubleshoot from electrical one-lines and schematics.
• Proficiency with electrical test equipment, including multimeters, meggers, and verifiers.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Familiarity with distribution panels and switchboards.
• Ability to follow strict lockout/tagout procedures and NFPA 70E standards.
• Physical ability to work at heights (up to 30 feet), lift 50 lbs, and climb ladders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree in industrial technology or an industrial electrical certificate.
• Experience installing rigid conduit and EMT up to 3 inches.
• Working knowledge of NEC, wire sizing, and transformer calculations.
• Experience using CMMS software such as SAP, Maximo, or MP2.
• NFPA-70E training.
