Industrial Electrician

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems including power distribution, motors, MCCs, VFDs, PLCs, and instrumentation
• Troubleshoot electrical faults on mining equipment such as conveyors, crushers, pumps, and drills
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
• Test electrical systems using appropriate meters and diagnostic tools
• Ensure compliance with MSHA regulations, NEC standards, and site-specific safety policies
• Follow lockout/tagout and all safety/environmental procedures
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation

Requirements

• Journeyman Electrician certification or equivalent industrial electrical experience
• Experience as an industrial electrician, preferably in mining or heavy industrial environments
• Strong knowledge of AC/DC systems, motor controls, and industrial electrical troubleshooting
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, production-driven environment
• Ability to pass site-specific training, medical exams, and drug/alcohol screening
• Must furnish own basic electrical hand tools and meters
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces or at heights

Preferred Qualifications

• MSHA certification
• Experience with PLC troubleshooting and VFDs
• Mining or aggregate industry experience
