Industrial Electrician

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems, machinery, and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and control system issues, including PLC-related faults.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
• Perform testing and inspections of electrical systems to verify performance and safety compliance.
• Execute preventive maintenance activities to proactively address potential failures.
• Respond to emergency and breakdown situations to minimize production disruptions.
• Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.

Requirements

• Electrical Technologist Diploma (or equivalent) or successful completion of an apprenticeship program.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs throughout a shift.
• Ability to work at various heights and climb stairs.
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and comprehension of work instructions).
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts on a 28-day rotation (including day and night shifts).

Preferred Qualifications

• Industrial Electrician (442A) Certification.
