Industrial Electrician

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment including generators, transformers, switchboards, motors, and conduit systems.
• Diagnose and repair electrical systems, sensors, transmitters, field devices, VFDs, and control components.
• Program and troubleshoot HMIs, PLCs, SERVO devices, robotic automation, and control systems.
• Install and maintain data, Ethernet, and CAT5 cabling and components.
• Execute scheduled preventative and predictive maintenance programs for plant electrical and electronic equipment.
• Work from blueprints, drawings, layouts, and technical specifications to complete new system installations and upgrades.
• Comply with all SOPs, OSHA safety regulations, SQF, GMP, and 5S guidelines.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two or more years of related electrical experience in an industrial environment.
• Expert knowledge of National Electric Code (NEC) and OSHA Electrical General Requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in a wet, cold, and/or humid environment.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including overtime and weekends as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong mechanical skills in addition to electrical expertise.
• Experience with computerized or automated control systems.
