Industrial Electrician

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair electrical components of production machinery and equipment
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, including PLCs, motors, sensors, and wiring
• Perform regular preventative maintenance to ensure machinery uptime and optimal performance
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
• Install, upgrade, and modify electrical systems to improve machine performance or safety
• Follow safety guidelines and company protocols for lockout/tagout and electrical work
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize impact on production schedules
• Maintain accurate records of all electrical repairs, replacements, and maintenance performed

Requirements

• Journeyman Electrical License valid in the State of Minnesota
• 3+ years of experience as an industrial or machine services electrician in a manufacturing environment
• In-depth knowledge of industrial electrical systems, controls, and machinery
• Professional experience working with PLCs, VFDs, and HMI systems
• Ability to read and understand electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Knowledge of relevant safety regulations, including OSHA and NFPA standards
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call as required
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces or at heights

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with production equipment such as CNC machines, conveyors, presses, and packaging systems
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
