Industrial Electrician

Responsibilities

• Maintain all electrical equipment in the facility, including plant machinery and structures
• Analyze and interpret one-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and sketches for troubleshooting
• Repair and install electrical or electronic equipment and component parts
• Modify, maintain, and install PLC programs
• Perform electrical isolation of equipment for safety while minimizing operational interference
• Advise operators and mechanics on standard operating procedures for electrical controls

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Current Industrial Electrician 442a or Construction & Maintenance 309a Red Seal license
• At least 2 years of experience as an electrician in a heavy manufacturing or industrial environment
• Strong knowledge of electrical principles and wiring specification codes
• Working knowledge of PLCs, electronic drive systems, power distribution, phase motors, and VFDs
• Ability to work a rotating shift schedule, including holidays and weekends
• Authorized to work in Canada on a full-time basis
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and communicating)
