About the role
Responsibilities
- Maintain all electrical equipment in the facility, including plant machinery and structures
- Analyze and interpret one-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and sketches for troubleshooting
- Repair and install electrical or electronic equipment and component parts
- Modify, maintain, and install PLC programs
- Perform electrical isolation of equipment for safety while minimizing operational interference
- Advise operators and mechanics on standard operating procedures for electrical controls
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Current Industrial Electrician 442a or Construction & Maintenance 309a Red Seal license
- At least 2 years of experience as an electrician in a heavy manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong knowledge of electrical principles and wiring specification codes
- Working knowledge of PLCs, electronic drive systems, power distribution, phase motors, and VFDs
- Ability to work a rotating shift schedule, including holidays and weekends
- Authorized to work in Canada on a full-time basis
- Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and communicating)
