Industrial Electrician

Responsibilities

• Perform general upkeep, inspection, and routine maintenance on buildings' electrical systems
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and create repair plans
• Execute major electrical repairs and installations from 480-volt down to component level
• Test and repair plant electrical facilities using voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and ohmmeters
• Interpret complex electrical, mechanical, and construction drawings or schematics
• Install conduit and electrical wiring for machinery and cranes
• Maintain records of all maintenance, repairs, and supplies used
• Advise on equipment lifespan and suggest modifications to increase production capacity
• Adhere to NAFP 70E safety regulations

Requirements

• High School Diploma and 4 years of Electrical Trade School
• 3-5 years of experience in electrical maintenance preferred
• Familiarity with the National Electric Code
• Proficiency with voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and ohmmeters
• Ability to read blueprints and technical schematics
• Basic computer knowledge (Microsoft Office)
• Must possess necessary tools for the role
• Ability to obtain Journeyman Electrician card

Preferred Qualifications

• Crane inspector card
• Experience in a continuous process manufacturing environment
