Industrial Designer

Responsibilities

• Conceptualise, develop, and refine new, forward-thinking products following established design language
• Manage products through the entire development lifecycle
• Develop and refine concepts for new products in collaboration with various internal teams
• Work closely with manufacturers and suppliers to ensure design integrity
• Liaise with stakeholders to manage and deliver project outcomes
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate complex engineering concepts into design concepts
• Develop and maintain bill of materials, assembly documentation, and CAD models

Requirements

• Degree in a relevant product or industrial design discipline
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in industrial design
• Proficiency in Solidworks and Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• Expertise in complex surface modelling and design for manufacturing (DFM)
• Strong ideation and sketching skills to communicate concepts clearly
• A portfolio showcasing your design process and presentation skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the Defence, medical, aerospace, or consumer electronics sectors
• Expertise in product visualisation and rendering (Keyshot preferred)
• Australian citizenship (preferred for Baseline and potential NV1 security clearance)
