Responsibilities

• Develop design themes for hardware concepts from sketch, prototype, to production
• Build and iterate physical prototypes to inform product architecture with human factors in mind
• Work quickly to ship new features in 5 week release cycles
• Create and communicate design intent through sketches, CAD, prototypes, CMF strategy and design documentation
• Collaborate closely with PM, Eng, and BD for highly technical and complex engineering challenges

Requirements

• 6+ years of Industrial design experience
• Experience prototyping and developing hardware for software in fast-paced, technical environments
• Keen sense of human factors
• Ability to translate complex engineering constraints into user-friendly and intuitive designs
• Ability to work effectively with incomplete feature scopes and fragmented information
• Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction or a related design field

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior startup experience
• Prior experience in Robotics, Drones, or related fields
