Industrial Designer

Responsibilities

• Develop design themes for hardware concepts from initial sketch through to production
• Build and iterate physical prototypes to inform product architecture with human factors in mind
• Create and communicate design intent through sketches, CAD, prototypes, CMF strategy, and design documentation
• Collaborate closely with PM, Engineering, and Business Development to solve highly technical and complex engineering challenges
• Work within fast-paced 5-week release cycles to ship new features

Requirements

• 6+ years of Industrial Design experience
• Proven experience prototyping and developing hardware for software in fast-paced, technical environments
• Strong expertise in human factors and the ability to translate complex engineering constraints into intuitive designs
• Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction or a related design field
• Ability to work effectively with incomplete feature scopes and fragmented information

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working in a startup environment
• Experience in Robotics, Drones, or related technical industries
