Industrial Design Intern

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of new components from concept to prototype
• Conduct market research, user journey mapping, and competitive benchmarking
• Create mock-ups and 3D models to visualize product concepts
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align product intent with functional and production realities
• Prepare presentations and design documentation for internal and external stakeholders
• Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and emerging technologies

Requirements

• Passion for product design, form, function, and user experience
• Familiarity with materials, manufacturing processes, and ergonomic or human-centred design
• Experience using CAD and 3D modelling tools such as SolidWorks
• Exposure to design research, usability testing, or prototyping with Adobe Creative Suite or Figma
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams
• Eager to learn and thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment
